The Longwood Gardens Ornament Project
Who? 12+ and adults – all levels
When? 2-hour workshop Saturday, August 8th; Sunday, August 16th; or Friday, August 21st

We are honored that Longwood Gardens has once again invited Centered to have a tree in the Grand Ballroom! Join us as we make angels, moons, stars, and light catchers. Make 2 for you and 5 for the Longwood tree! The tree community will be invited back to the studio in February for a thank-you party, where you'll select from the ornaments we all made as a community and enjoy a fun evening together!
(Your personal ornaments will be fired, glazed. and returned in about 4 weeks after making them.)

Have you ever wanted to try the potter's wheel? We've created a fun, 3-hour workshop just for you! You'll get instruction and hands-on practice with 5 pieces of clay for the steps to center, open, throw on the wheel, and clean up (gotta experience the whole process, right?). Most people create a piece or two, but everyone can claim they tried it! Come back in 4 weeks to pick up your fired glazed piece(s).
These book up well in advance, so keep checking! We're always adding more!
We will do our best to get your pieces through the two firings. However, the process can be hard on pieces, and not everything comes out. It's the experience that matters, not perfection.
"I Made That" Workshop Series
Nerikomi-inspired, 3-hour colored clay hand-building
Who? Teens 12+ and adults – all levels
When? 3-hour workshop with special date nights on Friday, August 7th or Saturday, August 29th (more dates coming for September)
$75 per attendee
Discover the mesmerizing art of Nerikomi, a centuries-old ceramic technique that transforms colored clay into stunning patterns and marbled designs.
In this hands-on workshop for all skill levels, you'll work with different colored clay bodies to create beautiful layered patterns, swirls, and marbling effects. You'll create two pieces of hand-built pottery; some options are trinket trays, plates, travel cup, or vase. We will fire to bisque and then clear glaze them for you. Pickup time is 4 weeks.

Handmade Picture Frames
Who? 12+ and adults – all levels
When? 3-hour workshop September 12th, more dates TBA
$65 per attendee
These frames are perfect for back to school, home decor, gifting, or showing off your favorite places, people and pets! You'll make two frames; we suggest frames for a 4x6 and a 2x4 or 4x4 picture. You choose the style, textures, and colors (you can also go monotone).

Learn how to craft a free-form vase or planter by hand-building. Make it yours with underglazes and choose from our wide selection of Elan Transfers. This is your time to be unique and let go! We will fire to bisque and then clear glaze them for you. Pickup time is 4 weeks.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY FOR WORKSHOPS
We accept cancellations 48 hours or more before the workshop start time for a 94% refund or a vouher valid for 12 months. Refunds are not offered for cancellations, or reschedule reqests within 48 hours. Also, we require a minimum number of students to hold a workshop. We will notify you within 2 days of the workshop's start time and refund 100% of the price if the workshop cannot be held.
Thank you for understanding. Our instructors schedule far in advance and we want to be respectful of their time.
